General missions purposes:

  • Supervise the Project Managers Studies and the team assigned to the product family.
  • Be responsible for the product family.
  • Descriptions of activities:
  • Supervise and lead the PE team.
  • Plan resources according to projects.
  • Establish technical consistency across all products in the family.
  • Ensure privileged technical contact with the customer and factories for the product family.
  • Identify innovation needs: technical, trend and work on solutions to optimize costs on the family.
  • Ensure that good practices are shared from one development to another.
  • Be a driving force for continuous improvement of procedures.
  • Guarantee the quality and relevance of deliverables provided by project managers.
  • Alert to project and/or organizational risks and propose solutions to address them.

Product family referent

Internal / external working relationships:
Internal: cash flow calculator, ME, SCM, Sales, Program Manager, Laboratory, Metrology, Production, Toolmakers, support services, Quality, Materials (for all Global Aptiv), Engineering or PLM EMEA Directors,
External: Suppliers, Customers, Service providers (laboratory etc.), Certification body, Auditors

Professional knowledge:

  • Bac+5 level (Engineering School, Master in the field of mechanical/electrical engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Experience as a Study project manager
  • Mastery of development processes
  • Leadership
  • Good communication and ability to convince
  • Initiative
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize, by applying knowledge and/or methodology in a transversal manner.
  • Fluent English
  • Work in a multicultural environment.
