Molding Process Engineer

Molding Process Engineer. Brookhaven, MS. Coordinate molding efforts for new program launches. Set up and/or revise manufacturing processes for current programs. Assist manufacturing operations in problem solving and continuous process improvements. Document and present results of improvements to management. Lead injection molding process and support manufacturing operations. Oversee tooling, fixture, gauge design, and engineering drawing markups per job launch plans. Develop new processes; assess and document processes for new programs (Process Cards). Implement and evaluate changes to existing processes design to improve product quality, productivity, and efficiency. Perform root cause analysis and work towards resolutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to technicians, operators, coordinators, and other molding personnel. Trial new tooling and equipment and make modifications as needed to meet quality/production goals. Maintain and update all Process Cards. Lead and participate in value added activities for ongoing cost reduction projects. Provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing. Drive cost reduction and improve part quality. Demonstrate ability to start up, operate, and shut down process-related equipment. Install all new injection molding equipment. Prepare product reports. Develop and recommend design changes, cost reductions, equipment, or process improvements. Requires three years of experience as a Molding Process Engineer in the automotive industry and CQI-23 Certificate. Experience must include reviewing tool condition, reviewing and adjusting process parameters of molding machines, reviewing processes using RJG quality monitoring system, and supporting root cause analysis of issues.
