The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to Develop, Lead and Ensure Process Control, Compliance, Maintenance & Continuous Improvement of the manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Engineer will maintain customer & process requirements using the tools, procedures and processes defined by the Quality System and customer specific requirements for the area and processes assigned to him or her. The Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible to define, implement & maintain continuous improvement initiatives base on the business requirements defined by his or her supervisor. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the supervision of technicians and mechanics assigned to him or her. Carry out the work with care, quality and safety.

Your Role:
- Define preventive and corrective maintenance and ensure correct execution and effectiveness based on Downtime, Scrap, & FTQ performance.
- Review process set ups to assure the machine is working with the right parameters and under specification.
- Perform capability studies (CPk, GRR analysis), thermal profiles for equipment and tooling assigned.
- Define standard work for technicians and ensure execution.
- Use of structured problem solving methodologies for problem resolution, ICIM - project execution.
- Support response team - eliminate WFCCs and APRs.
- Attend production meetings - daily fast response.
- Define implement and maintain spare parts set-ups.
- Review PFMEA for product assigned and update if required. Ensure that PFMEA and QP match on the blocks sequence.
- Perform safety observation tour, layer process audit checklist, kaizen and good catch ideas.
- Perform process audits/assessments.
Your Background:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree.
- Bilingual-Spanish/English (preferred)
- Experience in a similar position (desirable)
- Good level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers and local and remote technical support staff.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes:
- Wave solder, selective solder, point to point solder.
- Automatic Optical inspection
- Conformal coating
- Assembly process (screwdriving, pin insertion, terminal preform)
- Depanelization (long blade, router/milling)
- Knowledge to develop, update and review: PFMEA, MSA, CPK, Quality Plan, Process setup.
- Understanding of basic and advanced statistical techniques
- High level of analytical ability, understanding machine drawings, mechanical/electrical/pneumatic drawings.
- Effective leadership skills
