Joining the team in Coventry, United Kingdom, As Junior Account Manager you will be responsible managing and building positive relationships with global customers, ensuring Aptiv is viewed as a "Best in class" EDS provider.

• Creating, negotiating and reporting program price lists, and commercial open issues.
• Ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of customer deliverables.
• Maintain and grow Aptiv profit margins, carefully manage cost changes, customer requests for extraordinary actions, and new business opportunities.
• Responsible for cost tracking, engineering change quotations, and liaising with the manufacturing plant regarding costing and change issues.
• Influence others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and approaches.
• Maintain accurate reporting data for customer accounts and report this via the sales team meetings, project gateways, and Request For Quotation (RFQ) structure.
• To continually review and improve the commercial working procedures and methods used within the Sales team.
• Liaise with both internal departments, and customers to help resolve pricing queries, and ensuring payment terms are maintained in line with Key Performance Indicators.
• To liaise with Aptiv Engineering and manage the commercial impact of engineering changes ensuring that factory margin is improved with each group of Engineering Change Requests.
• To liaise with our manufacturing plants relating to customer commercial activities such as RFQ activity, engineering changes, obsolescence etc.
• Build positive relationships with customers, ensuring Aptiv is viewed as a "Best in class" EDS provider.
• Learn and demonstrate the Aptiv core values for ethical and operational excellency

• Educated to A-Level equivalent or above
• 2-5 years experience in a similar capacity, ideally within automotive, aerospace or similar (this is advantageous not essential)
• Ability to absorb and understand large amounts of technical data, using MS Office tools
• Previous experience of managing time and conflicting priorities whilst operating in a complex & changing environment
• Experience in a fast-paced commercial or Engineering customer facing role
• Ability to respond and effectively manage highly complex customer issues
• Desirable: previous experience within Automotive (or similar) industry, background in electronic and engineering
