Engineering Team Leader

Your Role:

• Responsible for overseeing daily production support and system and network performance ensuring availability and reliability of the SaaS platform.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SRE/CloudOps engineers, fostering a collaborative, innovative work environment while ensuring timely response and resolution of service issues
• Maintain and improve automated procedures for Incident response, deployments and observability.
• Learn continuously and stay up to date with trends, technologies, and direction in the technology and help promote recommendations for the software teams, their processes, and projects.
• Work with the global team on lifecycle management practices for the infrastructure. (Patching cadence. Upgrade schedules)
• Work closely with a global team to implement follow the sun support model.
• Understanding and Collaborating with the larger corporate team on policies and serving as a liaison to the ACS team while helping maintain the departments culture.
• Help onboard ACS team members for the site.

• 5+ years of experience in the software industry as an individual contributor or leader, or other similar role.
• 3+ years of leadership in a software team (as Manager, team lead, scrum master, project lead, etc.).
• Experience managing a team responsible for the production environment (incident response, availability, security and reliability).
• Strong communication skills (both written and oral) for effectively identifying, documenting, and resolving issues.
• A self-starter that enjoys and thrives working with autonomy. Able to set goals and KPI for self and the team.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to design solutions for complex engineering problems.
• Must enjoy working in a creative and collaborative environment as part of a cross-functional project team.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with applications deployed in the public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with modern software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.
• Passion for working with cutting-edge technologies such as AI code/test generation tools (e.g. GitHub CoPilot)
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Experience working in the Automotive industry with vehicle network systems.
• Experience "shifting left" the elements of running a SaaS platform.
• Experience starting a new team and managing cross functional collaboration.
