Job description: Application Engineering Manager
- should be a Mechanical/Electrical engineer minimum 5 years relevant experience in the area of automotive Application Engineering. Experience in handling product design or re-engineering, Knowledge of TS 16949 / ISO 9000 related activities would also be preferred. Exposure in handling OEM customers.
- Technical competency to understand customer requirements and technical specifications
- Experience in connector industry or automotive wiring harness industry
- Working knowledge in preparing component Bill of Material & providing alternate solutions
- Should be aware of component benchmarking & VAVE idea generation
- Basic understanding on connector manufacturing process like Molding, assembly & plating
- Ability to work in a global environment and collaborate with individuals across multiple geographies
- Study on new technology products in the market & suggest potential portfolio additions
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- Basic understanding of the interdependencies of Sales, Engineering & Operations functions
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal & written communication skills
