Our subsidiary, the'Yield Technology Group' located in Feldkirchen (near Munich)develops and produces high-precision electron optical devices (electron microscopes) with a close collaboration withinternationally networked locations such as Taiwan, India and California .
For our constantly growing location in Feldkirchen, we are looking to strengthening our team and hence actively looking for a Supplier Engineer (m/f/d) who finds solutions for internal and/or external requirements; recommends process, product or service improvements. Furthermore, ensures that suppliers are carefully selected so that we can guarantee our standards of quality, value, delivery and technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluation of the technical requirements of new and existing products.
- Apply knowledge of qualified sources and products to recommend materials to the design department that would result in savings, shorter lead times, system improvements, longer lifespan, and/or risk mitigation.
- Working with product development teams and suppliers to ensure that professional and manufacturable design is taken into account when developing new products (NPI / DfX).
- Implementation of supplier visits, product audits and acceptances at home and abroad
- Continuous participation in supplier selection processes to develop a supplier base that offers competitive advantages in terms of quality, cost, delivery reliability and technology
- Conducting system audits of suppliers to assess capabilities and performance, as well as initiating and tracking continuous improvements
- Conducting technical audits of suppliers with an assessment of capabilities and capabilities, as well as initiating and tracking continuous improvements of the supplier
- Training, supporting, and monitoring the Product Qualification Program (PQP) for critical parts with suppliers
- Supporting product development teams in collaboration with qualified suppliers in the selection and implementation of new, advanced manufacturing technologies
- Error handling (8D)Monitoring of the measures until successful implementation, including effectiveness control. Analysis of the causes of errors, determination of corrective actions in cooperation with the appropriate departments and corresponding suppliers
Education and experience:
- A degree as a technician or engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Technical / electrical expertise, coupled with problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with supplier audits and quality management systems, including internal audits, quality and risk management tools, including FMEA and quality planning.
- Analytical and organizational skills with an understanding of best practices in the manufacturing process or technical manufacturing at suppliers.
- Team player with effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills in German and English, verbally as well as in writing
- German C2 (min C1)
- English C1 (min. B2) - Willingness to take part in local and international business trips (at least 40%)
