General profile
The new hire will play a key role in improving supplier operational and technical special process through hands-on onsite training, process monitoring and data driven decision -making. They will support the collection, analysis and digitalization of operational data to enhance process visibility and drive continuous improvement. Additionally, they will contribute to optimizing workflow efficiency, tracking key performance metrics and implementing best practices to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance. This role will also involve identifying and addressing systematic supply chain issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier capabilities, and driving initiatives that support long-term operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in supplier onboarding and offboarding processes within the Applied Materials supply base.
- Support the development of new Best Known Methods (BKM), including clean recipes, fixtures, and metrology, ensuring alignment with Applied's TKM strategies.
- Utilize the preferred supplier selection and assessment process to select suppliers and monitor their performance in terms of delivery, quality, and cost.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to TKM Best Known Methods, and verify that returned parts meet Applied BKM specifications.
- Oversee key supplier performance metrics, such as Turn Around Time (lead time), parts backlog, quality escalation, and capacity.
- Resolve systemic supply chain issues that impact quality, cost, delivery, or lead-time.
- Drive process improvements, optimizations, and digitalization within the TKM scope.
- Monitor and update supplier capabilities based on business forecasts, and initiate capability expansion discussions when necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supplier-related issues, such as quality escalations and capacity/capability expansions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with strong skills in reporting and presentations.
- Excellent listening, writing, quantitative, qualitative, and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across organizational boundaries.
- Flexible and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to travel.
- Eager to learn, open-minded, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
