Our Quality Assurance Engineers ensures that all materials and components entering the manufacturing process meet the required quality standards. You will play a critical role in maintaining product integrity by conducting thorough inspections, reviewing supplier documentation, and implementing quality controls, specifically for electron beam (eBeam) technologies in the semiconductor sector.

You're eager to;

  • Be a part of highly qualified engineering team, to efficiently manage the manufacturing as well as technical domain of complex modules developed by our R&D team
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure a prompt execution as well as efficient and smooth production
  • Take a lead on driving our suppliers to excellence for enabling smooth manufacturing processes in our facility near Munich

Key responsibilities:

1. Incoming Material Inspection/rework:

  • Conduct detailed inspections on incoming materials, components, and subassemblies.
  • Conduct rework of microscopic quality violations on delicate surfaces and items
  • Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Verify that materials meet specifications outlined in engineering drawings and quality standards.

2. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Review and verify supplier certificates of conformance, inspection reports, and material data sheets. Help and define supplier inspection protocols could also be a nice additional line
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records
  • Generate precise documentation and reporting to the suppliers as well as internal partners.

3. Quality Control Procedures:

  • Develop and maintain incoming inspection procedures and checklists.
  • Participate in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards

4. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with the procurement, engineering, and production teams to address quality issues.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve supplier performance and internal processes.

5. Compliance and Auditing:

  • Support internal and external audits related to incoming inspection processes.
  • Ensure all quality activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in incoming inspection or quality assurance within the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools like; optical microscopes, measurement devices, material analysis devices
  • Strong understanding of quality standards. Knowledge on ISO 9001 and SEMI guidelines would be an advantage, not a must
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using Power Point and Excel, basic SAP skills
