Applied Materials FabVantage™ team are currently hiring for a Module Process Engineer. This role is based out of Phoenix, AZ, but not exclusively supporting our key customers in this area. This is a role with substantial opportunity for development as we look to grow this team in this location.
General Profile: Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. Interprets internal or external business and technical issues and recommends best practices. Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions for complex issues. Collaborate with cross functional teams on projects. Can work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolves complex process/tool issues utilizing analytics, equipment and process knowledge and systematic troubleshooting methodologies (8D, DOE, analytics) for effective root cause diagnostics and resolution. Communicate learnings to rest-of-world to strengthen service product packages.
- Engage with customer to identify their high value problems (matching, output, yield, defects etc.) Pitch Applied services product like Crossmatch, Fleet optimizer, Process Optimizer, COO, PM engineering etc. Propose and implement new Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs.)
- Understand customers' roadmap, interpret the technology and service needs at different segments and identify opportunities for Applied service engagement. Works with service business unit and service products development team in service product development and transfer to customers, including on-site optimization. Capture and feedback service learnings to Headquarters.
- Serves as liaison between the customer and Applied headquarters, ensuring clear understanding of customer issues and delivery of applicable solutions. Works closely with customer and local service team to meet service agreement performance indicators/entitlements.
- Captures learnings and write case studies for FV knowledge base.
- Present updates to customer, Applied management and other stakeholders.

Functional Knowledge
- > 7 years' Experience in 2 or more process areas on 2 or more technologies
- Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field
- Experience and knowledge in Applied Materials tools and process is plus
- Data analytics and problem-solving skills, FDC, metrology, integration knowledge
- Preferred skills in one or more of the following areas: Etch, DDP

U.S. Salary Range:
$120,000.00 - $159,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
