As an Embedded Developer (Software Engineer) in the Applied Materials Photonics Platform Business, you will be working on software for highly technical and challenging smart glasses prototypes powered by various computing platforms.
Job Responsibilities
• Own design, implementation, and delivery of the embedded software for smartglasses prototypes
• Lead definition for mobile applications enabling control of smartglasses prototypes
• Develop software for on-device display correction, such as for color or distortion
• Support software for metrology, such as display measurement platforms
Preferred Qualifications
• 7 years minimum experience in embedded software design
• Proven ability to define and deliver software packages to customers

• Experience developing display pipelines, including MIPI-DSI drivers, and video formatting pipelines
• Experience developing devices drivers including MIPI-CSI, Q/OSPI, I2C, and DMA controllers
• Experience with Android/iOS application development
• Hands-on experience with Qualcomm and ARM-based SoCs
• Excels in cross-team collaboration with ability to read and contribute to hardware design (schematics)
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Excellent programming (C/C++) and scripting (Python) skills
• Experience delivering software in multi-threaded RTOS environments in power-constrained systems
• Experience with development and debug tools (JTAG, SWD, gdb, lldb, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
