Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for executing Electrical Engineering technical disciplines with primary focus on design, development, modification of Cable & harness design/Interconnect/Electric schematics to support the programs.
  • Creation of electrical schematics and system interconnects based on requirements received from cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Create and release engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process.
  • Well versed with Part life cycle management activities.
  • Study and recommend corrective solutions for technical issues of varying complexities.
  • Provide immediate response and timely resolution to design related production issues encountered during the build process.

Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:

  • Proficient in system level understanding of Electrical architecture, Modules and Applications.
  • Good working knowledge on Cable & harness design/Inspection and build.
  • Must have worked on electrical engineering CAD tools like AutoCAD Electrical, E3s,LabVIEW , PCBA software PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN,CAM 350 or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design.
  • Proficient in interconnect design and knowledge on providing the inputs for sub-module design
  • project based on interconnect details.
  • Good BOM Management skills
  • Working Experience on PLM software like, TCE (Team Center Engineering) will be plus.
  • Working Knowledge on any Engineering change management software packages like, Oracle, SAP etc.,
  • Strong Communication skills and Cross functional team coordination.
  • Familiar with different design standards and compliances like - NEC, NFPA, UL 508, IEC standard, IPC, SEMI Standard (Electrical), etc.,

Desirable Skill:

  • Experience with capital equipment or similar (for e.g., process industries, medical instrumentation, automotive, aircraft, etc.) industry in a sub-system / module design projects.
  • Experience in working with cross-disciplinary teams (including mechanical, electro-mechanical, software, process, manufacturing engineers) for major projects with multi-national work environment.
  • Experience in selection of components.
  • Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process.
