Applied Materials Varian Business Unit is the leading worldwide producer of Ion Implantation equipment used in the manufacture of semiconductors. This position is located at our primary manufacturing and engineering plant in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
This role focuses on all aspects of product pricing and revenue execution from opportunity to recognition. It reports directly to the Implant Business unit CFO, partnering with executive staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Business partnering with executive management team; primary finance partner for Business Management, Global Product Marketing, & Business Management Operations
- Develop relationships with business stakeholders supporting BU pricing strategy
- Analyzes product pricing performance and works with Business Management on closing gaps in pricing expectations for deals and sales opportunities.
- Partner with portfolio leads to ensure execution to PDP pricing assumptions
- Support long range strategic review, focusing on Competitive & Market share analysis
- Support the adoption of CRP and new pricing metrics into existing business processes including in large order deals, SEM and SIP. Drive process corrections in upstream to ensure data fidelity for revenue forecast accuracy and value capture opportunities
- BU Pricing Lead (Alpine) on Gross Margin Leadership Team (GMLT)
- Performs competitive or Red Team analytics
- Key participant on Agile Finance initiatives and financial system enhancements
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive business experience with focus on analytics
- Experience with large international MFG and/or Engineering tech company preferred
- Experience with enterprise level financial systems (SAP/BPC/Tableau preferred)
- Excellent communication skills including partnering with executive leaders and the greater finance team, providing recommendations and insights for strategic and operational decisions.

- Data gathering/reporting - tools, techniques, and processes for gathering/reporting data for measuring business results, objectives, and strategies

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
