The Xcode and Swift Playgrounds Program, Build, and Release project management team is responsible for running bug tracking operations, coordinating and planning our daily builds, and delivering software releases internally and to the public. Engineering Project Managers (EPMs) are one of the secrets to Apple's success in delivering quality software on-time. We bridge organizational boundaries and drive cross-functional collaboration, enabling teams to surpass what they might achieve on their own and expanding the possibilities of what we can build as a company. We are seeking an experienced manager to lead the team while also working as a contributor on daily tasks and automation. Your team will be responsible for overseeing the integration, building, and qualification for Xcode and Swift Playgrounds. You will develop bug management processes in partnership with our software engineering managers, communicate branching/release schedules and deadlines for our team and our partners, and coordinate internal and production releases of Apple's tools software. These tools are used by millions of developers of macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS apps. We're looking for someone who enjoys automating tasks, inspiring their team to do their best work, and working as a central point of contact when issues occur.
