Apple is looking for a Financial Analyst with high analytical capacity, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to join the WW Retail Finance - Retail Online team, which supports Apple Retail's online store, marketing activities, call centers, and technology investments. The position requires the ability to complete complex financial and performance analyses, work cross-functionally across Apple and local teams in region, develop and implement business strategies, and recommend and present business updates to executive leaders. The ideal candidate is able to balance financial, brand, and customer considerations.

Apple's online business has experienced unprecedented success over the last several years, and is a key growth driver for the company going forward, with significant investments planned to sustain momentum. In this global role, you will directly support three areas fundamental to Retail's long-term growth strategies: FP&A activities for the entirety of Apple's online business, as well as critical decision support for marketing and contact centers. In partnership with the regional and global business teams, you will develop annual plans and monthly forecasts, support close activities, and report financial performance. Assess new marketing initiatives, establish critical metrics and goals, measure performance, and determine sales impact. Additionally, this role supports retail call center sales and staffing, continually optimizing while balancing sales and service levels. The ideal candidate for this role combines strong corporate finance fundamentals with strong discernment and relationship management skills. The candidate must be able to think creatively, define business trade-offs, generate innovative solutions, and clearly articulate business results and drivers to senior leadership. Key business partners include: Apple Store Online (ASO), Retail Technology, AppleCare, Marcom, IS&T, and various Finance organizations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Lead FP&A activities for Retail Online, partnering with the business teams to develop monthly forecasts, annual plans, reporting and quarter end activities. - Support the Retail marketing team in the development of near and long-term strategies, analyzing business trends, and establishing important metrics, goals/objectives and key results, and a management system for optimizing investments. - In partnership with Retail Customer Care and AppleCare teams, support staffing strategies within Retail's contact centers, and develop Sales and Support programs to drive growth and efficiencies. - Develop a deep understanding of your business areas to support pivotal initiatives, recommending appropriate investments and run rate metrics to access business performance, and present insights to key functional business partners and senior leadership. - Identify program cost savings or efficiency opportunities to optimize financials. - Evolve data and tool capabilities to streamline work and elevate quality of insights.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant finance experience
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting or other related degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of dynamic finance experience in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Ability to perform quantitative and financial analyses; able to work comfortably with incomplete information while dealing with ambiguity and present strategic recommendations across key business investments.
- Strong intuition for business and high intellectual curiosity, with interest in Apple's products, services, technology, business, and strategy.
- Must be able to think strategically on critical business issues, while simultaneously possessing the ability to act tactically to complete them.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; experienced at presenting effectively to senior leadership.
- Passion for automating and improving processes, and drive to adopt latest technology tools at our disposal.
- Hands-on FP&A experience performing quarter end activities, modeling, forecasting and analysis. Understanding of general accounting principles a plus.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel is required. Familiarity with enterprise software systems (SAP, Tableau, Adaptive Insights) a plus.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,300 and $161,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
