Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for someone to help us do extraordinary things. The Apple Store Online Digital Experience & Expansion team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Expansion Strategist to lead some of Apple Retail's most significant growth initiatives, overseeing end-to-end planning of potential new country and platform opportunities. From assessing macroeconomic, political and societal trends to analyzing data and consumer insights, you will identify, explore, and pursue new business opportunities across new markets and platforms. In addition to conceptualising a vision and 5 year priorities, you will also play an integral role in supporting business planning across quarterly business reviews, executive presentations, and analyzing the broader performance of the Apple Online Store.

The ideal candidate, able to set a clear business strategy across expansion in new platforms and markets to deliver significant commercial value for our organization. They are adept at simplifying the complex, collaborating across a highly matrixed organization, and are highly strategic in their thinking. They will possess strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, form hypotheses, and synthesize into recommendations. They are great storytellers, comfortable addressing senior executives, and can also influence while collaborating with key partners and cross functional teams. This role will require significant cross-functional partnership with teams across Apple, including various Apple Store Online teams, Real Estate and Development, Operations, Government Affairs, Chanel Sales, Finance, Services, International Marketing, and various Engineering teams. In this role you will: Assist in the development and execution of long-term business expansion strategies, as well as business cases for new initiatives and projects Analyze key financial metrics and performance indicators to assess business performance of a particular market or new platform Work cross functionally across Retail, Operations, Government Affairs, Sales, AppleCare, Services, and other teams to build a multi-year country and platform expansion strategy and roadmap Conduct external market research and analysis to inform macro economic environment of new expansion opportunities Develop strong cross-functional relationships and communicate tailored updates and narratives to senior leadership Lead or support special projects and initiatives as assigned Support the business planning, storytelling and creation of executive presentations Regular meetings with peers in Asia and Europe during overlapping business hours
- 5+ years experience in strategy or customer experience function
- Storytelling, and presentation skills, including proficiency in Keynote (e.g., Keynote, Powerpoint)
- Excel and financial modeling skills for complex, data-driven analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, or similar analytical/business intelligence field.
- Proactive self-starter with an outstanding ability to see opportunities, simplify complex initiatives into streamlined customer experiences, and work through ambiguity to define clarity.
- Experience working with global teams, fostering relationships and building bridges, leading through influence, and flexibly adapting to feedback.
- Development or management of impactful business plans that successfully drive growth or address clear long-term objectives.
- Ability to define, extract, and manipulate data to build reports, data visualization dashboards, and translate insights into actionable results through storytelling.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience desired. MBA or equivalent experience a plus.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,100 and $206,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
