Apple's SAR Engineering team is looking for a Technician to work on RF Exposure (SAR/MPE) characterization across different wireless technologies for Apple's wireless products.
Description
- Validating RF Exposure test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups. - Coordinating with engineers within SAR team to ensure product validation covers all certification tests. - Execute validation plan for RF Exposure facing SW features. - Debugging marginal/failure tests with senior engineers within team and help drive design changes to address issues. - Maintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc. - Help Regulatory Compliance teams in planning/executing on final certification testing at 3rd party test labs.

- 4+ year minimum related experience required.
- Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience of engineering testing, in particular hands-on experience for wireless measurements is desirable.
- Working experience with different lab equipment: network analyzers, signal generators, signal analyzers, call boxes (i.e. CMW) is desirable.
- Experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/LTE, 802.11xx, Bluetooth etc. is desirable.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and certification process for wireless consumer devices, including FCC, ETSI, 3GPP etc. is a plus.
- Experience with 5GmmWave standard and/or hands-on chamber/system level understanding is a plus.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $38.45 and $66.00/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
