- Validating OTA test cases for different carrier/industry conformance requirements in certification test setups. - Translating industry conformance/ regulatory/ carrier specification requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance/ carrier management teams to ensure product validation covers all certification/performance tests. - Define/complete validation plan for custom SW features - Debugging marginal/failure tests with multi-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE/etc. and drive design changes to address issues - Maintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc. - Drive planning/completing final certification testing at 3rd party test labs for PTCRB/CTIA/CWG testing.
- Working experience of antenna design and tests, anechoic chambers, and RF test equipment. Hands-on is a must.
- Solid understanding in RF component characteristics and behavior.
- Solid understanding of at least one wireless technology including IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth, GNSS, LTE, GSM, UMTS, or CDMA
- BSEE required, MSEE is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of PHY Layer and MAC/application layer is highly desired, proficiency at MATLAB simulations a plus
- Strong communications and organizational skills and the ability to multitask across various fields and tasks
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Programming/scripting skills would be a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
