The Wireless Connectivity Silicon team is looking for wireless FW test engineers to help ensure the quality of the innovative wireless silicon for application in Apple's products! You can also help in the automation development effort to characterize state-of-the-art wireless SoC products!
Description
- Collaborate with FW, Radio, MAC, and Systems engineering teams to develop a FW test plan to ensure Apple's wireless silicon FW and products' stability, reliability, function correctness, and performance. - Develop test infrastructure, and continuous integration flow for pre-silicon development and post-silicon validation, system integration, and debugging. Including precheck-in, nightly/weekly/release regression test. - Work on test plan development, manual and automatic test setup/scripts, publish test reports, collect test logs, first screen of test failure/debug. - You will also help write tools to parse and represent data, automate dashboards, and assist the FW and QA team in any automation efforts. - Build pre-silicon, and post-silicon reference board test setups, as well as production-specific test setups. - Develop FW test cases and test methodologies. - Design and Develop innovative ideas that address automation and execution problems. - Support development in debugging and reproducing issues, work with system QA on bug reproduction, log/statistic collection, run debug tests with debug FW build, etc. - Build test result dashboards, and support bug triage meetings.

- Bachelors +3 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Silicon firmware test engineer.
- Experience with the development and execution of automated test and continuous integration frameworks.
- Experience in FW/SW white box testing including test plan design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance.
- Proficient in scripting and debugging in any of the following: Python, Perl, TCL, C++, or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills: analyze and investigate test failures, errors, build issues, and be able to drive issues to completion accurately.
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and be comfortable working with multi-functional teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of embedded SW fundamentals and low-level hardware interfaces.
- Standout ability of collaboration, communication, and partnerships.
- Proactive, positive, dedicated, inventive, and willing to tackle challenges.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with test methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, functional testing, etc).
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
