As a Wi-Fi MAC Standard Architect, you are responsible for innovative design of next generation Wi-Fi technology! You will be representing Apple in IEEE 802.11 and Wi-Fi standard bodies and driving the companies strategic interests in those organizations. Description
Apple's Connectivity Standards team is seeking a passionate, self-motived, and highly disciplined wireless architect to contribute to next generation Wi-Fi technologies. Our team is focused on developing wireless system solutions and its standardization initiative. You'll be actively working with various internal teams by keeping them apprised of standard developments and directions, while supporting development teams to define and decide features, architectures, and design strategies. You are expected to actively propose, support and champion innovative solutions, both internally and externally, and defend Apple's product interests and design principles in standard and industry communities. You will be contributing to system level simulation and evaluation to support our proposals and solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience in wireless MAC layer and cross layer communication protocol and system designs
- In-depth understanding of IEEE 802.11n/ac/ax/be/bn, including essential applications, high-level architectures, key features, and cost-benefit trade-offs
- Rich experience in defining detailed feature requirements, presenting technical solutions, and writing specifications, design documents, and test cases
- Strong result-driven capabilities, including skills to prioritize, manage risks, evaluate tradeoffs, maneuver in complex situation, and keep moving thing forward
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an active contributor in standard organizations
- Experience in wireless MAC and system simulations
- Knowledge of in-device multi-radio existence, security, TCP/IP, and low latency applications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
