The Apple Watch - watchOS QA team is seeking an expert Software Quality Engineer to help us ensure that we maintain a seamless, rock-solid, and customer-focused experience. We're looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role in qualifying iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and other platform applications along with the frameworks that support them. We practice nimble, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering and QA. Description

In this position you will need to be self-motivated with strong technical and interpersonal skills. Day to day tasks will involve functional testing of watchOS features across supported platforms. Testing will be across concurrent release vectors and occasionally require use of headphones. Your responsibilities will also include design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • An enthusiasm for customer-focused design, and high-quality technology
  • Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • Experience with developing testing strategies, including test plans, test cases, custom tools, automation, and testing architectures
  • Strong desire for debugging difficult problems and driving results, collaborating with multi-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
  • At ease and adaptable in a dynamic and informal atmosphere
  • Passion for fitness and innovation, to help shape the next generation of transformative features
  • Highly organized, creative, self-motivated, and passionate about achieving results

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,800 and $222,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
