The role requires superior strategic insight, comfort with detailed modeling and analysis, and a solid understanding of subscription business models. The individual must possess the ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management, internal and external stakeholders, and work across multiple functions.

Description

The TV Strategic Planning Manager supports the Head of Global Strategic Planning on strategy, business initiatives, market intelligence and reporting for the global TV business, with a focus on Apple TV+. The breadth of this role is varied, including the opportunity to work with a global, cross functional team, and requires the ability to advance multiple tasks whilst working to tight deadlines across time zones. - Growth Initiatives - support on research, subscription modelling, business case development and presentation of global Video growth initiatives - Business Performance - support on tracking and monitoring of key acquisition & retention metrics, and leading indicators, maintaining dialogue with Business leads, Data and analytics and Finance to deliver action oriented insights and inputs into forecasting cycles - Exec Communications - build Keynotes and additional resources for business reviews - Market intelligence- work with other analysts on the Strat Planning team to keep track of relevant developments in the SVOD market - Partner with internal stakeholders to identify, communicate and implement solutions for critical business issues / opportunities - Collaborate cross-functionally to support ongoing strategic and business planning processes - Manage analysts and a variety of projects and initiatives with minimal direction - Present analyses and recommendations to senior executives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in finance/strategy/planning role, ideally for a subscription business
  • Deep understanding of key performance drivers for subscription, including funnel conversion, subscriber acquisition, churn, customer lifetime value, etc.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Experience in managing analysts
  • Comfort with synthesizing data into strategic recommendations and compelling slide presentations
  • Clear communicator, confident in presenting to demanding senior executives
  • Bachelors degree

  • Superior strategic skills and ability to solve complex business challenges
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation development and delivery
  • Proficient developing management presentations
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented work style
  • Ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines, and deal effectively with pressure
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Media strategic planning or finance experience a plus
  • Experience in doing business in foreign markets
  • Familiarity with working in or with large organizations
  • MBA preferred

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,700 and $266,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
