The Apple Thermal team is seeking or a highly motivated and self-driven engineer/scientist capable of working in the cross-disciplinary domain of thermal management with a strong focus on data analytics. The team goal is to optimize the user experience for all Apple products as it relates to balancing tradeoffs between performance, power and temperature.

Description

A successful applicant will have a deep understanding of fundamental thermal sciences/heat transfer along with some ability to perform large data analysis. The ability to perform data analysis extends to data collection, developing new automation tools, performing statistical analysis, visualizing results and more. Candidate must be able to adapt quickly to new challenges, be very attentive to details, think creatively about device novel solutions to complex multi disciplinary design problems and collaborate cross functional teams to identify solutions and drive implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in engineering/sciences
  • 5+ years of industry experience in the areas of thermal design/engineering/data analytics
  • General programming/scripting knowledge including Python, Java Script
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or Ph.D. in ME/EE
  • Experience in heat transfer, fluid mechanics and thermal design
  • Experience with linear regression modeling of large data sets

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
