The Technical Marketing team within Worldwide Product Marketing is looking for a Demo Engineer to work on Apple's world-class product launches. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation, validated project leadership capabilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and a desire to work with an amazing team to develop new ways of scaling tooling and services.

Description

The team supports the introduction of new products by collaborating with product managers and engineers to ensure our products receive the launch they deserve. We define and build cohesive demos that showcase the abilities of our hardware, software and services. We connect with various engineering organizations to understand how new features, changes in software, improvements to security, and software timelines impact our work and develop plans to optimally overcome limitations to showcase new features. We work to develop scripts and processes that enables large scale automation for new product launches both in the US, and around the world. This role requires a strong sense of individual ownership and responsibility, while working in a close team environment. Additional responsibilities include: - Provide technical expertise in partnership with product teams to ensure successful launch of Apple products. - Evaluate demo scenarios, identify risk and propose solutions. - Design and implement core systems that provide new functionality or improve the efficiency of existing processes. - Develop automation processes for mass deployment of Apple devices. - Document and share processes with clear and concise communication for non-technical audiences. - Identify risks, find opportunities, articulate implications, and translate insight into fast-cycle action.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a software development or automation related role.
  • Experience using Python or CLI tools to develop/automate devices.
  • Experience coordinating projects and processes across cross functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In depth experience with both iOS, macOS, and Apple hardware.
  • Mass deployment techniques of devices.
  • Problem solver with high-level programming skills; Swift highly favorable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
  • Ability to lead projects, coordinating efforts across multiple teams.
  • Coordinate and deliver communication between engineering and product managers.
  • Ability to highlight the requirements of the team and foster creative solutions across diverse teams and senior leadership.
  • Adaptable and flexible when faced with ambiguity.
  • Creative and bold thinking.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • BS or MS in equivalent related field.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
