Description
As a key member of our team, you will lead the design and development of our advanced storage simulation, enhancing its integration with the storage subsystem. You will utilize state-of-the-art cloud computing, sophisticated data analytics, and powerful visualization tools to advance our SSD technologies. Collaborating with the SSD firmware team, backend team, and the drivers and applications teams, you will tackle time-critical, complex challenges. Your efforts will transform complex data into actionable insights, significantly boosting the efficiency and performance of Apple's storage solutions.
- BS in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Physic/Mathematics or equivalent experience/skills
- Expert level C/C++ programming/debugging skills
- Deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Source Control Management with svn or git
- Excellent written, verbal, and data communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters/Phd in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Physic/Mathematics or equivalent experience/skills
- Solid understanding of SSD software architecture and FW (e.g. NAND flash commands and media management algorithms)
- Experience programming in Python in a professional setting
- Experience with applying cloud processing technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, AWS )
- Experience with data processing and visualization tools
- Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results
- Curious and have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
