Apple is seeking an experienced Security engineering program manager for the Apple Services Engineering (ASE) organization. We are looking for passionate, motivated individuals looking to contribute to the development and security hardening of the extraordinary services and infrastructure that power Apple's products. You will partner with teams whose mission is to build, maintain, and improve the platform and product layer of Apple's most critical cloud services at scale. We focus on services, features, reliability, scalability, privacy and security technologies. Part of the role will require you to influence and partner in defining and implementing standard processes that improve our operational security and privacy efficiency. The work is integral through the entire software stack so you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of engineering teams.

Description
Technically curious and a functional expert you will autonomously lead projects of varying scale and complexity with cross-functional development and SRE teams with only consultative direction from leadership. This is not a task-based job; we are accountable for delivering secure and performant systems. You will review business requirements, ensure clarity and establish expectations for services requested while developing and executing processes, frameworks, metrics, project plans, defining scope, schedule, deliverables and resources. You will operate with all levels of the organization. You will go deep in to the detail to prioritize team activities and drive resolution of issues across all areas of the program while communicating status and issues to all partners. You will facilitate focused concise status and program operations. You will advise and carry out risk assessment and mitigation plans as needed. Execution is critical so you will drive maturity programs with cross-functional organizations and teams while continuously working to improve the software development lifecycle process within the org.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical project and/or program management experience
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree or equivalent work experience in project management or security engineering
- Familiar with SW & server delivery, reliability, security, privacy, and other compliance review workflows
- Collaborative engagement and technical empathy for engineers
- Experience as a project lead, able to focus and simplify, balancing the details with goals, priorities, and trade-offs in mind
- Shown ability to meet deadlines and schedule constraints; working optimally with and influence multiple collaborators across a highly-matrixed, multi-functional organization
- Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience with strong presentation skills both in person and in multi-location meetings
- Proven record in defining processes, key metrics and executing on them
- Leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Able to think critically and creatively, identify risks and drive the execution across multiple teams to remediate them
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in some or all of the following areas: Software Security Assurance, Application Security, Threat Modeling, Secure Coding Practices, Vulnerability Assessment, Security Code Reviews, Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Security Requirements Analysis, Secure Architecture Design, Static Code Analysis, Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Secure Deployment Practices, Security Training and Awareness, Secure Development Tools and Techniques, Secure Development Frameworks (e.g., OWASP SAMM), Secure Software Development Methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps), Security Testing Automation, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Security
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,000 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
