Description

This position requires technical curiosity and intuition for business along with strong program management skills. We are looking for someone to drive, own, and ship all aspects of large, multi-functional efforts and feature areas. You will partner with engineering teams throughout feature development from architecture, design, implementation, and validation. The successful EPM will proactively identify, prioritize, and drive resolution of program issues. You will also present new feature initiatives, top issues, risks, and critical achievements to executive leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Apple to align the roadmap across various lines of business. We are seeking an expert program manager for the Apple Services Engineering. Technically curious, you will autonomously lead multiple projects and tracks of works of varying scale and complexity with cross-functional and geographically dispersed development teams with only consultative direction from leadership. With strong analytical and communication skills lead and review business requirements across all levels of the organization. Ensure transparency and establish expectations for services requested while developing and executing processes, frameworks, metrics, project plans, defining scope, schedule, deliverables and resources. You will prioritize team activities and drive resolution of issues across all areas of the program while communicating strategic direction, status and issues to teams, leadership and other partners. You will drive focused concise program operations. You will advise and carry out risk assessment and mitigation plans as needed. Execution is critical so you can drive maturity in programs while continuously working to improve the software development lifecycle process within the org. You must have a successful track record of being a great partner to represent the iCloud Platform Engineering teams, with other internal and external organizations within Apple.
  • 7+ years of project, product or program management experience in one or more of the following areas: cloud services, software development or operations
  • Deep understanding of the software product lifecycle and lead projects from start to finish using Agile methodologies
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, get buy-in, and thrive in a fast paced, oftentimes ambiguous environment
  • Technical curiosity along with the willingness to participate and contribute to technical discussions with engineering partners
  • Experience driving and delivering critical project features which involve partnerships with multiple different teams across Apple
  • Adept at leveraging data from diverse sources to draw insights and make informed decisions across their programs.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; must be comfortable communicating with and presenting to executive management
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to empower team members
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related degree or equivalent experience

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
