We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the iCloud Foundation team, responsible for optimizing and standardizing software development processes across Apple's largest consumer-facing applications. Description
As a senior engineering leader, you will drive the vision and execution of best practices for software development, deployment, and operations. How do we empower developers to build world-class software faster while maintaining Apple's uncompromising standards for security and quality? You will lead initiatives to enhance internal development frameworks, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and introduce automation that transforms how teams work! Your ability to inspire engineers, remove roadblocks, and align development strategies with business goals will be key to success. A critical part of this role is hiring, mentoring, and developing top engineering talent, fostering an environment where individuals thrive and teams achieve extraordinary results. Your experiences working across global teams and influencing stakeholders will be instrumental in advancing Apple's cloud engineering efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Decades of engineering expertise, including substantial leadership and management of engineering teams.
- Strong experience in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software development methodologies.
- Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Java, C, Swift, Python, JavaScript, Go, etc.).
- Experience driving security best practices and working with distributed systems in public, private, or hybrid cloud environment.
- Experience implementing governance and automation to enhance software quality and compliance.
- Proven experience driving SDLC transformations and improving developer productivity at scale.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $252,400 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
