This is a fantastic opportunity to be a pioneer of sports content in this new medium and lead the creative process from development through completion. The perfect candidate for this role will have a track record of success creating compelling content in the world of sports, will be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and have a passion for carving out a new path on the production of world-class content.

Description

The candidate for this role should come with years of experience in the world of sports and be ready to be a pioneer in the immersive space. This candidate will have the opportunity to participate heavily in the process of content creation and production logistics in close collaboration with a creative team of producers, camera technicians, and production crew. You should be comfortable working in the field, not tied to desk or studio and have the ability to roll with the conditions and long hours that are often required on location. You should be comfortable sitting in a room of league executives who are eager to learn about this format, but also never be above getting your hands into all of the logistical details of a production. A history of working in immersive formats is not required, but you must want to embrace the opportunity to change the way sports content is created.

Minimum Qualifications

  • In depth knowledge of how to operate in and around large scale sporting events.
  • Strong knowledge in a variety of sports, across all leagues both U.S. and international.
  • Experience and ability to cultivate and manage relationships with sports leagues, team PR reps, broadcast companies, agents and athletes.
  • Participate heavily in the process of content creation and production logistics.
  • Identify and pitch content ideas, and be prepared to pitch your ideas to others.
  • Must be creatively ambitious and willing to take risks that are outside of the established norms in sports. We don't want an attitude of "Well that's the way it's always been done".
  • Strong writing and with excellent communication skills and the ability to keep entire departments up to speed on latest production developments.
  • Work closely with production team members to ensure budget expectations are met, staffing needs are communicated, and post/deliverables are executed on time.
  • Knowledge of the editing / post-production process and ability to keep up with technological changes in those areas. Same applies to camera technology.
  • Detailed and organized at keeping appropriate records of production paperwork to adhere to company standards.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Producer in the world of sports, with the ability to show real world results.
  • This role may require *50% travel both domestically & internationally. Onsite work is required when not traveling.

  • Strong communicator who is able to work closely with team members and talent, take feedback constructively, and contribute to an environment of communication and accountability.
  • Flexible travel schedule with the ability to work across weekends and holidays if required.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,000 and $225,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
