Applying a blend of technical expertise and business intelligence, you will interact directly with multi-functional teams across the larger publishing organization, engineering, commercial development, legal, finance and audit to define, build and roll-out business processes and engineering systems. This includes understanding business problems, converting to system solutions and execution of the solution. You will own multiple projects aimed at supporting initiatives ranging from business expansion, cost savings to implementing statutory requirements. Description
Our team is responsible for the suite of products used for music publishing royalty reporting, accruals and payments within Apple. We are not an engineering team, but our programs are closely tied to software, infrastructure, and data. Much of our value lies in our ability to convey deeply technical issues to legal, business and commercial teams and also convey legal, business and commercial initiatives and needs to technical teams. ON A REGULAR BASIS YOU WILL HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO - Collaborate with Engineering, Commercial Development, Legal, Finance, Privacy, Anti-Fraud, Analytics, Business Dev, and other organizations both inside and outside of Apple to develop new features. - Identify, propose, craft technical solutions that are user-friendly, scalable, and address key business issues. - Define product features/enhancements and communicate requirements to engineering teams via clearly written requirements documents, diagrams, and concise verbal communication. - Get into the details on engineering and analytical projects as needed. - Assess and recommend solutions to deliver the required capabilities and help determine a roadmap. - Work with team members to identify current and future business needs. - Work under limited supervision, using good judgment about when to seek guidance. - Drive initiatives through to execution while focusing on project and status transparency, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and aware throughout the process. - Simultaneously handling multiple lines of work with competing priorities.
- Minimum 7 years of product management experience with cross functional and data driven systems.
- Experience in leading software and system implementations across large organizations.
- Experience defining technical requirements, process flow diagrams, BRDs, user stories and reviewing data/systems architecture.
- Able to define test cases and perform meticulous UAT testing. Ability to define and test RESTful API's; competency with parsing JSON.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in handling large data files using UNIX commands, shell scripts.
- Proficiency in SQL/ familiarity with Python.
- Ability to understand business process gaps, document and get consensus on tradeoffs and define practical solutions.
- Ability to grasp the technical details of complex engineering and analytical issues and provide in-depth evaluations.
- Able to focus on the details whilst also seeing the big picture and being comfortable with a level of ambiguity.
- Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize complex issues into clear points.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
