Apple's Input Experience QA group is responsible for several high-visibility iOS and macOS features/frameworks spanning Keyboards, Apple Intelligence features like Writing Tools & Smart replies, iOS Notes drawing & handwriting experience, Screenshots, Markup and machine learning models/language intelligence behind these features. We are looking for a Test Engineering Manager with strong technical and interpersonal skills to manage testing effort for these areas and help ensure Apple software is of the highest quality!

Description
You will be managing a team of QA Engineers focusing on functional testing on iOS and macOS. You will drive the testing, data gathering, and project reporting for your team. You will coordinate testing with other teams, review test plans and related documentation, monitor progress and provide sign-offs at key milestones. You will also with Automation teams to come up with automation plans for the projects. You will process data from multiple sources, draw meaningful conclusions, and present valuable recommendations to leadership. Your main job responsibilities will include the following: - Manage a team of 6-8 QA Engineers - Develop, modify, and implement test strategies, plans, and programs - Coordinate and optimize testing in a cross-functional environment - Work with Automation team to come up with automation plan - Reporting, providing sign offs & escalations of issues
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years leading a Test Engineering/QA or Software Engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with iOS macOS or other operating systems such as Unix/Linux
- Deep understanding of SQA methodologies and practices
- Passionate about great customer experience and what we can do to improve it
- Experience managing large projects and processes cross-functionally
- Comfortable working in a continually changing and dynamic environment and driving top issues to resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent cross-functional communication and influencing skills
- Executive-level presentation skills
- Proven track record to attract, hire, motivate and develop the best quality minded individuals
- Experience with Scripting or Programming Languages including Swift, Objective C, Python or JavaScript
- Experience testing machine learning solutions
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,100 and $301,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
