The Home QE team is seeking a highly motivated Software QE Engineer who is passionate about quality. You will be working on protocol, API, and end-to-end testing of the software stack. You will develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to drive quality and ensure great user experiences for the latest Home features.

Description

We are seeking an experienced QE engineer that can help us lead qualification for Apple Home Ecosystem features. Responsibilities include: - Developing comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate Home features across iOS/tvOS/MacOS/WatchOS - Hands on testing & debugging issues to help isolate and root cause problems - Driving end-to-end product reliability based on insights driven by field data analysis - Design tests and develop automated test solutions - Collaboration cross functionally with development and QE teams across different sites and timezones

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in a QA lead role developing test cases/strategies for consumer facing products or services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technologies used in the Home automation eg. Thread, Wifi, Matter
  • Proficient with automating test cases in Python or Swift
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, including collaborating with external partners
  • Real passion for product quality and attention to detail

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
