The Central QA team is seeking a Quality Engineer with program management skills and Python experience who will be responsible for driving our Quality Program for tvOS aimed at measuring & maintaining the quality of existing features. Our team works in a fast-paced environment that relies heavily on strong communication and relationships with QA teams across Apple.

In this role, you will be working closely with QA teams across the company to understand their quality plans for existing features, as well as supporting tooling to consolidate testing results from several QA teams. The ideal candidate for this position is a great communicator, who is extremely detail-oriented, proactive, focused, highly motivated, and thinks outside the box. As the owner and driver of key quality metrics for functional and application areas, you will need to collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to drive qualification efforts, efficiently collect and process results, draw meaningful conclusions and present impactful data to our leaders and cross functional teams at a regular cadence. You must be flexible and able to bounce between varied tasks efficiently and must have a passion for exceptional user experience and a dedication to delivering the highest quality products for both our customers and our stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with consumer products and operating systems testing
  • Programming skills in Python and SQL
  • Strong leadership skills to work with cross functional partners and coordinate test efforts across multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
  • Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines
  • Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner with product and leadership teams to influence the overall strategy of the product
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
  • Ability to summarize key points and tie them back to the customer experience
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
