The Platform Enablement team is looking for an experienced Build and Release engineer with experience using Continuous Integration systems, Software automation and a passion for testing. You will develop and maintain tools and processes to improve the productivity of the development and QA teams, develop our CI build pipeline and collaborate with multi-functional teams to improve the integration/release process and coordinating/ pushing new releases. You should have a desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather than do everything by hand. You must be comfortable working and thriving in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Description
Manage the build & release process for various iOS/MacOS projects Configure, manage and scale software systems and tools for CI and deployment Make daily and patch releases: triage and debug build issues and work with developers and QA to ensure timely resolution Implement standard methodologies for building, testing, and releasing software Identifying useful new technologies that can improve efficiency and reliability and incorporating them into the CI & build release workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a release engineering and/or configuration management
- Expertise with source code management systems (Git is preferred) - branching strategies, merging, Pull Requests etc...
- Proficient with scripting; particularly Shell and Python
- Experience with continuous integration systems such as Jenkins
Preferred Qualifications
- Django, Dagster, Kubernetes, Postgres experience
- Experience in configuration management for deploying, configuring, and managing servers and systems
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Prior knowledge of embedded device software development process and lifecycle and experience managing devices in CI
- Familiarity with MacOS and iOS and Xcode is a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $204,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
