The Health Clinical Operation Group is responsible for planning and executing clinical studies. We are seeking a Software Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to work on software tools to support studies. Description

As a Software Engineering Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with experts to build new and enhanced Health study apps and infrastructure tools to empower the Study Operation Team to efficiently conduct a seamless research or clinical validation study. Some of the key responsibilities include: • Define and drive technical vision, roadmap, and strategy for our platform • Guide the design and integration of data collection analysis and study monitoring during study operation process to enable swift vendor bringup • Scope and prioritize features and bug fixes • Represent the team and its technology in project meetings • Foster good engineering standard methodologies to deliver quality software that adhere to privacy, security, and clinical compliance and safety guideline • Guide the design and integration of study tools to ensure it meets the study operation needs • Communicate project definition, roadmap, plan, schedule and status to executives and multi-functional teams • Must be confident organizers who are ready to partner with highly skilled software and hardware teams to brainstorm ideas, identify viable approaches, and resolve potential risks to the execution plan and to the data quality • Work with a large matrixed team to promote cross team technology sharing • Interact with all engineering design fields, data analysis, and additional project management teams • Be able to prioritize issues and track details; at the same time keeping in touch with the big picture • Be adaptive and can respond to changes swiftly, energetically, and enthusiastically
  • B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering subject area
  • 8+ years of project management experience
  • Foundational understanding of system software fundamentals and strong interest in improving process
  • Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years in driving technical roadmap and strategy for data platform and analysis
  • Consistent track record of on-time project delivery
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive with critical thinking and resourcefulness to drive the project to success
  • Excellent multi-functional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience working with and managing external sites and/or handling vendors
  • Demonstrate excellent judgement and unwavering integrity in making timely and well considered decision
  • Ability to influence teams to adopt standard processes
  • Strong human research background
  • Passionate about Health improvement projects
  • Value a diverse and inclusive work environment

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
