We are looking for an experienced and strong Software Engineer in Test to help us build and validate the future of some of the core system applications and experiences on macOS and iOS. You'll be automating our exciting new and legacy features as we work to deliver surprise and delight for our customers.

Description
In this role you will join the Input Experience automation team. We build and design automated tests and automation infrastructure for some of the core experiences on iOS, macOS, and watchOS including Keyboards, Natural Language Processing, Internationalization, iPad and Pencil experience and more. You will be responsible for taking ownership of one of these key areas of the platform and driving all aspects of automated testing for this component, from UI tests to integration tests to unit tests, and across different device configurations and locales. You will work with your teammates and contribute to shared automation frameworks and you will work cross-functionally with other teams at Apple to drive automated testability for your component. Along the way, you'll learn the development process used at Apple to build our operating systems and become a key leader in shipping our software releases with the quality our customers expect.
- At least 4 years prior Software Engineer in Test experience in industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent programming fundamentals, with experience preferably in Swift/Objective-C
- Strong familiarity with Xcode and debugging tools
- Excellent working knowledge of iOS and macOS
- Desire to help us build the best future experiences for our users
- Strong problem solving skills - ability to triage test and product issues, propose solutions, and help with prioritization
- Keen eye for detail
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
