Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Test the currently shipping and newly developed features, interfaces, and applications used to deliver instructional content to Apple's end with a combination of Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Objective-C, and Swift. Create and maintain infrastructure providing quality-assurance testing for the software delivering instructional content in native iOS, macOS and other operating systems by analyzing the department's needs and utilizing web development and backend engineering skills. Design systematic test plans and test scripts from functional specifications, manage test data, and assemble test cases using Swift and XCTest for the test script and Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes for the management. Update CI/CD pipeline so it runs and reports building and testing results automatically and consistently. Build and improve client and web software that improves the productivity of software engineers, instructional designers, graphic designers using Python, Objective-C, and Swift. Use bug-tracking software to report issues and maintain records of reported and resolved issues. Provide managers and project managers with timely and accurate QA status and progress during project testing phases, including summarizing QA results at project conclusion. Work closely with Apple's world class software engineers, instructional designers, graphic designers, and localization teams. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 - $250,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Test application development for Frameworks and UI Automation.
  • Web-based testing platform development.
  • Backend engineering to build testing harness in high reliability and stability.
  • Git for code review and management.
  • Continuous integration and Continuous deployment to manage developer experience.
  • System design for design applications.
  • Unit and integration testing to identify regression.
  • Automation test development of software.
  • Automation framework development to build testing infrastructure.
  • Infrastructure and programming languages for automation and tools: Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Objective-C, and Swift.
