As a senior team member, you will be at the forefront of tackling challenging problems and addressing many use cases. Your role will involve delivering infrastructure solutions, enabling service teams to adapt and manage their services in a scalable, efficient, and optimized manner in a hybrid cloud environment.

Description

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with expertise in reliability, scalability, resilience, security, optimization, and service performance of critical infrastructure services. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering, security, and SRE teams to guarantee the secure and efficient operation of services. Additionally, you will drive optimization opportunities in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • 5+ years in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure focused role
  • Experience supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems
  • Experience in managing core infrastructure services like LDAP, Puppet, Repo's etc.,
  • Experience in Linux software build and packaging systems, preferably RPMs.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and experience in a Hybrid cloud environment.
  • Work on Capacity planning, configuration management, optimization, and monitoring
  • General understanding of security and networking concepts
  • Proficient in Golang, Ruby, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Container services(Docker/Kubernetes), system administration
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD systems and process
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in or interest to work on:
  • Configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Experience with core infrastructure services like LDAP, DNS, Puppet, Repo, etc.,
  • A strong sense of ownership. At the same time, you're a great teammate who communicates clearly and transparently. You are self-motivated, curious, and always looking to learn more.
  • Vulnerability management in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Datacenter Optimization initiatives.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
