Description

Responsible for handling and completing the post silicon validation and characterization test plans across Process, Voltage and Temperature (PVT). Debug various issues encountered along the way such as setup artifacts, test code, logic bugs, and physical design debugs. Understand new chip features and define coverage applicable to test environment. Execute a validation test on large volume and analyze results such as pass, failure, artifacts and surprises. Responsible for being the first line of defense for failure isolation, and work with domain experts to define debugs and come up with a root cause. Assist in driving a fix for the root cause. Maintain and create automation scripts and flows for self-consumption. Summarize debugs and analyze along the line of improvements in both DFX features and test coverage!
  • Masters Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SoC bring up & power management
  • Post Silicon debug and ramp;
  • Physical failure analysis skills with transistor or layout level probes;
  • Device physics including device and transistor knowledge;
  • Computer architectures and logic design knowledge;
  • Test and script writing experience: Perl, Tcl, or Python;
  • Waveform viewer: SpiceExplorer or WaveView;
  • Processor architectures, including low level concepts (Cache, Memory Management, Coherency and pipeline).

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $58.61 and $88.29/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
