Apple seeks a Silicon Readiness Engineering Program Manager (EPM) within the Hardware Technologies organization to join an experienced program management team. You will help lead and drive programs involving the pre-silicon software readiness and bring-up of pioneering technology used in next generation Apple products. Not only will you help bring our groundbreaking processors to market, but you will also influence future designs from lessons learned. This position will collaborate with multi-functional teams to validate new silicon and software crafted specifically for new Apple product development.

In this high profile Silicon Readiness EPM role you will be responsible for the following: - Leading a multi-functional team responsible for ensuring critical software and firmware is ready to support the bringup of new Apple SOC's. - Driving technical issue resolution to enable on-time silicon to meet consistently aggressive product schedules. - Focus teams on meeting near term tactical work and unblocking technical issues by pulling together the right multi-functional technical expert(s) to resolve issues with data based decision-making. - In parallel, ability to focus the multi-functional teams on the big-picture, looking strategically across the SOC roadmap to propose and drive high-ROI pre-silicon goals with the team. - Drive and develop internal program processes to guarantee high quality silicon execution. - Interface and drive pre-silicon issues across multi-functional teams: Design, Verification, Validation, Technology, System Hardware and Software. - Drive technical sessions with multi-functional teams to track & follow up issues/escalations. - Focused issue reporting, bug tracking, and communication of program risks & status.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Post Silicon Validation, emulation/simulation or Software/Firmware Engineering experience.
  • Technical program management or vendor management experience.
  • Top level SoC architecture and associated IPs knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of pre-si modeling vehicles (FPGA, simulation, emulation).
  • Experience with ARM architecture and leading silicon projects from concept to production.
  • Extraordinary leadership skills and ability to encourage and influence team members with a highly developed ability to see the big picture.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multifaceted schedules, driving improvements and lessons learned into organizational and team processes and methodologies.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across multi-functional partners, engineers and management.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style to multiple audiences.
  • Strong multi-tasking and real-time crisis management skills.
  • Ability to understand and extract action plans from sophisticated technical discussions and translate into succinct messaging for multifunctional and executive status reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans.
  • Ability to develop metrics to measure enhancements and generational improvements on a per project level with future planning in mind.
