We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our App Store QA group. You'll be working on the App Store which is used by millions of people everyday all across the world and help improve it's quality. You will own complete functional areas and be able to define test approaches and strategies. Execute functional, acceptance, compatibility, Integration, and reliability testing along with automation for both mobile and desktop applications.

Description

The SQA Engineer is expected to possess the skills necessary for working closely with the engineering team during all aspects of the development process. This position requires a self-motivated and dynamic individual with strong technical and communication skills who can contribute in a team environment. In addition, this position requires someone who is 'very detailed oriented', can juggle manual as well as automation testing, and can work in a fast-paced testing environment.

  • 5+ years of QA experience, with a consistent track record detecting and writing bug reports and demonstrates a deep understanding of SQA methodologies and practices.
  • 3+ years of QA Automation & Testing experience on Client side applications.
  • Proficiency on client-server model , some understanding of API testing and UI automation experience with OS X and iOS platforms and tools.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming using one of the OOP languages, e.g. Swift, C++, Java etc.
  • Solid knowledge in one or more Scripting Languages like shell, Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
  • Proven ability to partner and communicate multi-functionally, and to seek out information when required.
  • Able to work independently and take the ownership of the project.
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, and have strong problem solving skills.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and ability to autonomously solve problems, as well as collaborate with your team.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of QA experience, with a consistent track record detecting and writing bug reports and demonstrates a deep understanding of SQA methodologies and practices.
  • 3+ years of QA Automation & Testing experience on Client side applications.

  • Working experience of Xcode, XCTest, Swift, Continuous Integration and Git is a plus.
  • Working experience testing with iOS and macOS. Knowledge of tvOS, macOS, and watchOS is a plus
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
