Description
We are looking for a talented software engineer with expertise in designing and developing some of the largest and most scalable applications in the world. This core engineering role requires you to be hands-on in coding, building and tuning extremely scalable, distributed services. You will design and build novel software solutions in the space of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI algorithms. You need to have a track record that demonstrates innovation, strong collaboration, excellent interpersonal skills. You will work with engineering teams and business partners across Apple. Our engineering team fosters creativity and builds novel solutions to deliver engineering perfection.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, distributed systems.
- Skilled in cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP, container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and Microservices.
- Solid understanding of applied Machine Learning, deep Learning (including LLMs), NLP and running machine learning tasks on cloud compute.
- Expertise in tuning, profiling, and optimizing applications written in polyglot settings (languages such as Java, Rust or Swift on Sever).
- Knowledge in Relational, NoSQL Databases, and Microservices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vector stores, ranking and retrieval techniques.
- Experience with using Privacy enabling technologies to deliver solutions.
- Experience with monitoring deployed solutions for performance, drift, and service level objectives (SLO)
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
