As a Senior Software Engineer on the Apple Data Platform Spark team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the backbone of our data processing capabilities, directly impacting the experiences of our vast global customer base. You'll work with innovative technologies to build and optimize scalable, high-performance systems that support a variety of critical services across Apple. Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience software development experience.
- A successful track-record or demonstrated aptitude as an engineer who has worked on distributed systems.
- Experienced Poweruser of Apache Spark or Committer to Apache Spark.
- BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Spark accelerators, e.g. Velox/Gluton or Datafusion/Comet.
- Experience working on or building connectors from Spark to any of the data sources.
- Knowledge of Yarn, Kubernetes or other compute substrate.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
