Description
The ideal engineer for this role is comfortable working in a dynamic and creative team charged with exploring an uncharted and rapidly evolving domain. You will take an active role in shaping the quality of UI Frameworks and public SDKs that are used by internal and external developers. As a Tools and Automation Engineer, you will support testing of multiple features and drive the quality by developing tools and frameworks to automate complex user-facing systems. This will demand deep integration with our development and test engineers to develop automation strategies, test frameworks, innovate to solve complex challenges and improve overall testing efficiency. You will be responsible for setting the bar high, going beyond ensuring a great experience and helping ship robust and amazing products.
- 6+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer / SDET / Automation engineer.
- Experience developing tools, test frameworks and automation tests at UI/non-UI layers.
- Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in Object Oriented languages such as Python or Swift.
- Ability to drive cross-functional communications, understanding dependencies while also ensuring a tight timeline can be maintained.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/relevant field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient working in Xcode environment and coding in Swift. Objective C is a bonus.
- Experience writing automation for iOS, MacOS, iPadOS or visionOS apps.
- Experience in development of test applications to validate APIs is a bonus.
- Experience building automation solutions for large technology stacks with many software and hardware components.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
