The Apple Health Special Projects team is seeking a Senior or Lead Designer with strong UX and product design background to create groundbreaking new features, products, and services- you'll solve difficult problems while creating moments of surprise and delight for individuals using our products and services. We are looking for a seasoned professional who can demonstrate exceptional design prowess, is a proactive self-starter, an exceptional communicator, thrives while navigating large, complex problems, and loves refining intricate details. This role is supporting the work of AC Wellness. AC Wellness Network LLC is a subsidiary of Apple Inc. and is the dedicated management services organization (MSO) for AC Wellness, a dedicated independent medical group that serves Apple Wellness Centers in Santa Clara Valley. AC Wellness Network's mission is to deliver the world's best healthcare experiences for Apple employees and innovate while delivering it.

Description
As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our design direction, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and elevating the overall output of the team. From brainstorming through implementation, this team member will work in collaboration with engineers, visual & service designers, design researchers, data scientists, clinicians and other health experts to create simple and seamless experiences by defining and distilling product requirements and user goals into sketches, wireframes, experimental prototypes, and fully completed and implemented designs. The ideal candidate will help shepherd ideas from conception to release, advocating for clean and understandable solutions along the whole journey. They are an effective diplomat with strong communication and organizational skills, who thrive working through complex problems requiring deep cross-functional collaboration. They are patient, understanding, ego-free, and eager to give and receive constructive feedback. The ability and desire to build consumer friendly experiences surrounding complex topics is a plus. Responsibilities include: • Demonstrate mastery of user experience and interaction design principles, providing strategic direction and guidance to the team. • Drive forward collaborative efforts with designers, engineers, product managers, clinicians, and data scientists to deeply understand project requirements, constraints, and objectives with minimal direction. • Produce thoughtful and meticulously crafted designs that not only meet user needs but also provide surprise and delight, and align with strategic goals. • Approach your own work with a critical eye, and contribute to design critiques to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. • Develop and deliver comprehensive design specifications to engineering teams, ensuring flawless execution. • Uphold a high standard of execution and polish, setting a benchmark for design excellence within the team. • Expertly adapt existing design patterns across various platforms, while also innovating new solutions for emerging features and use cases. • Navigate ambiguity and adapt to evolving project requirements with ease and confidence.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of work experience crafting exceptional user interface designs for iOS, desktop, and/or web platforms.
- A strong portfolio showcasing user experience design work across desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills (English)
- Demonstrated passion for Apple, its products, and its customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Past experience working on sophisticated multi-functional projects
- Proficiency in Sketch, Keynote, and other industry-standard design tools.
- Self-motivated and capable of driving multiple projects forward
- Thrive in a collaborative environment, leveraging group critique and iterative design processes to refine work.
- Experience in artificial intelligence or health-related apps, programs, or data is not necessary, though valuable.
- Additional expertise in prototyping, data visualization, or animation is a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
