Description
The Platform Engineer will join a dynamic team, responsible for architecting and maintaining our cutting-edge infrastructure. As a key player, you'll drive the design and implementation of scalable solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance across our platform. Bring your expertise in cloud technologies, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines to spearhead innovation and lead the development of robust, automated deployment processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in large scale software development.
- 5+ years collaborating across organizations with other specialists for feedback on proposed designs and product direction.
- 2+ years influencing teams cross-functionality and driving change.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ownership and health of CI/CD pipelines from dev to production environments.
- Understanding of the test pyramid and how that applies across the software development lifecycle.
- Practical experience building and shipping services on Kubernetes on Azure, GCP, or AWS.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java, familiar with databases, SQL, and scripting languages.
- Understanding of Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Cassandra.
- Experience with a wide range of modern infrastructure tools and technologies.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
