Description
As a machine learning engineer on our team, you'll engage with business, product, and design teams to identify new opportunities and translate them into innovative AI/ML solutions. Your work will involve a prototype-driven workflow, where you'll iterate quickly to reach consensus with stakeholders. You'll be working closely with internal teams to collect, clean, and analyze data to train and evaluate your models. Your expertise in communicating your results and insights with clear and actionable recommendations for our partners and leadership will help empower strategic decision-making for our products and the users we serve. Additionally, you'll research and present the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in AI/ML and Generative AI to enhance our technical capabilities. - PhD or MS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, or other similar quantitative field with 3+ years industry experience OR 5+ years of related work experience
- Experience in industry building end-to-end machine learning applications
- Preparing and collecting data for training/analysis and ensuring data quality
- Experience in one or more of the following machine learning areas: Computer Vision, NLP, Generative AI, Document Analysis, or similar
- A collaborative and proactive mindset and strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Python and PyTorch
- Proficiency with Swift and iOS app development
- Hands on experience with large language models (LLMs)
- Experience in applying machine learning in enterprise or education applications
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
