The OS Performance Tools team is looking for developers interested in working on projects that span from embedded to UI apps to server-side data processing. Our work enables iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS to perform well, and gives developers the tools and data they need to easily write high-performing apps that reach billions of people.

Description

Work on performance tools and services that model various aspects of Apple's Operating Systems to enable teams to tackle challenging multi-functional performance problems. You will be creating groundbreaking web services for analyzing and solving problems in the areas of usability/UX, cross-platform compatibility, and techniques for debugging performance issues across the OS.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience building performant full-stack web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience proposing and prototyping new services and solutions
  • Knowledgeable with SQL and NoSQL database technologies
  • Excellent spoken and written communication, as well as a passion for product quality and exploring the latest technologies available

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ES6, Node.js, and Angular
  • Tool, automation, and scripting development
  • Experience diagnosing and improving performance at multiple layers of the stack
  • Understanding of operating system fundamentals
  • Prior development in Unix, Linux, macOS, or iOS
  • Large data processing & visualization

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
