We primarily focuses on creative ways to engineer business solutions to meet the growing needs of our partner organizations. As member of this team, you will play a critical role in understanding the functional and technical aspects of an application. Candidates should have a strong software engineering background with project managing design and development and managing mission critical applications. Sound judgment, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong functional and technical leadership with the ability to drive decisions through consensus and influence change are a must. One of the key solutions in our portfolio is a mission critical packaged solution integrated into Apple's complex eco system. It encompasses selectively ingesting high volume sales transactions and processing this data using complex business rules and provide summary and detailed reports. Other solutions in the portfolio involve custom home grown applications primarily using Java and related technologies, services and frameworks.

Description

We are looking for a hands on EPM to be responsible for the technical, functional, and operational aspects of the application; ensuring its performance, stability, and seamless integration within our ecosystem. The EPM will lead and coordinate a team of engineers, across time zones, while effectively managing vendors, stakeholders, and business requirements. Ideal candidate would be someone who is flexible, versatile, quality focused and intrigued by both the technical and functional aspects of a solution. Responsibilities include : Liaison with business, technical and vendor teams. Own and review deliverables for accuracy, quality, application performance and completeness. Strive for top quality and continuously look for ways to improve and enhance system reliability, performance, and security. Own and manage entire life cycle of a complex solution including integrating, implementing, maintaining and upgrading third party solutions, either on prem or in cloud. Undertake technical and functional accountability for all deliverables with a hands on approach. Effectively lead dev team members from on-site and off shore vendor teams; plan and assign tasks and be responsible for vendor deliverables. Define the scope of work, milestones, deliverables, and resources needed for the project. Develop and enforce disaster recovery including minimizing application downtime.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience implementing and managing, both custom and packaged solutions.
  • 4+ years experience managing functional and technical aspects of enterprise applications.
  • 4+ years experience integrating applications in a complex eco system.
  • Education: BS/MS in CS or equivalent degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience excelling in functional and technical aspects of mission critical applications.
  • Strong analytic skills with proven ability to trouble shoot complex issues and solve business problems, monitor and identify bottlenecks and do performance tuning.
  • Experience integrating applications in complex eco systems in both on-prem, public/private cloud models.
  • Passionate in driving software development projects with working knowledge of the full SW development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to partner and collaborate with business teams to grasp business needs, processes and all related functional aspects; influence and deliver technical solutions.
  • Conversant with application infrastructure upkeep, maintenance activities including upgrades and patching security vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage as well as assign tasks to dev team resources with varying priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Some facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings).
  • Experience in mobile computing and mobile app development environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Previous experience with java development preferred.
  • Project management certifications are a plus.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
