Description
You will create and deliver complex program roadmaps for cloud products by closely partnering with developers, engineering managers, designers, product managers, and other partner teams such as Security and Compliance. You will initiate programs by establishing and documenting the scope and the schedule. You will work across stakeholder groups to proactively identify and manage risks and interdependencies and adjust as needed. You will also handle communication to stakeholders, the teams, and cross-functional partners. You will co-manage the development team's backlog, prioritize work, and offer data and planning expertise for working through prioritization challenges. Occasional travel might be required. ABOUT YOU: You are an ambitious individual who is proactive and is able to work under minimal supervision. You are able to coordinate multiple interdependent projects across geographically distributed locations. You have excellent written and interpersonal skills to influence without authority. You pay attention to the details and are highly organized.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in the tech industry with 5+ years as a technical program manager in cloud-based software development.
- Proficiency in large-scale distributed systems and cloud architecture, databases, and build and release.
- Strong track record of managing software development programs from feature definition to deployment using sophisticated project management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong sense of ownership, customer service, collaboration, and integrity.
- User-centric program leadership: Passionate about optimizing the user experience, providing thought leadership to enhance end-to-end user interactions for technical products.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Past experience with containers/Kubernetes areas in infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience of setting up and leading agile development teams (and/or played the role of a Scrum Master) using SAFe, Scrum, XP, etc.
- Continuous improvement mindset: Experience in metrics-driven process reengineering and task automation.
- Mentorship: Experienced in mentoring and developing fellow program managers, fostering growth, and building team capabilities.
- A creative problem solver with an excellent ability to influence without authority.
- Great at weighing trade-offs and prioritizing using data and anecdotes.
- Proactive in approach, focus on innovation, and ability to learn new technologies.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
